With geothermal radiant floors, these homeowners stay cozy all through the winter months and cooler High Desert nights and evenings. The Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) system and duct-less mini split cooling compliment the home’s vaulted great room and loft with remotely operated clearstory windows for passive cooling. The circular staircase connects the open concept kitchen, dining and family room with a loft that has a built-in Murphy bed for guests. Indoor and outdoor living abounds with three covered patios to enjoy all year!

The star of the show in the family room is a spectacular Tulikivi radiant soapstone fireplace! In Finnish, it literally means “fire stone.” In English, it translates into one of the world’s most beautiful and efficient ways to heat your house. This luxury fireplace is excellent at retaining heat then slowly and steadily releasing radiant heat to give a warm and comfortable environment. Soapstone has an exceptional ability to absorb, store, and radiate heat. This quality makes it an ideal choice for fireplaces as it ensures a long-lasting and even heat distribution throughout the room. Once heated, soapstone stays warm for hours, making it the ideal material for overnight heating or for other long stretches of time when you can’t tend the fire. And stone is a durable material, so you can save money on materials over the long run.

This 3,643 SF home has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms with a loft and separate home office. It is an open floor plan that is ideal for entertaining. The award-winning chef’s kitchen features Miele and Viking appliances, a steam oven, built-in espresso station, induction cooktop, a prep-sink, Subzero refrigerator and a large pantry. This home has a spa bath off the primary bedroom featuring a spa-style shower with four body sprayers, a towel warmer and an adjacent over-sized, walk-in closet. A detached double garage has additional space for an ADU (Acessory Dwelling Unit) or a hobby-room.

Because this is a custom home, it has some features you may not find in a typical builder home. Do we have any dog lovers here? These homeowners are passionate about their dogs so they made sure to include pet-friendly flooring throughout the home. Additionally, they asked for a full dog-wash station in the ample mud and laundry room. And a separate dog-grooming station with a custom stainless steel counter, leash holder and built-in custom cabinets. We think that deserves “a round of a-paws!”
